Everything [in my patent] looks great! For a while I kinda lost hope, but I listened to you and kept going forward. I can’t thank you enough for your drive and determination on my patent. Hopefully I can get this patent up and running and hopefully get some more ideas out there. I gave your name to a few people that were talking about wanting to patent stuff. I also gave your name to my other lawyer who is a close friend, [F.V., who] said that [when] someone called his office on a patent he would refer them to you.
Thank You, Craig

— Dear Bernie:
I just want to say thank you for all you have done for me in getting this thing done. I know it’s your job and you get paid for it, but it’s more than that and it’s been trying beyond what it should have been for you and you hung in there for me even when I was losing faith and hope for it to really happen. My mail box is full of mail from all over the place now and I am starting to feel like the bait fish on the end of my rig.

You made that happen for me and I will be forever grateful to you for that beyond your service. I know I will need help and good advice from here on and I hope I can retain our business relationship because I will be fishing for big game on light tackle from here on, and as a fisherman myself I know that isn’t easy. Thank you very much, your friend and client.

I wanted to say thank you for all of your help with the patent application as well as your understanding and working with me . . . . I understand your time is valuable and I greatly appreciate your working with me on this. I also wanted to ask when should I send out the cease and desist letters?
